    E000 code

I had an E000 code on a canon 210S, I checked the fuser unit and found it to be in bad shape,so I order a fuser unit and replaced it. My problem is that I don't know how to reset the fuser error code. I've try the star 28 star to get into the program but that's not working,I know that is not it because it does'nt come up. Can any one steer me in the right direction?

Forgive me if I miss a few key strokes:

*28* (use the * inside the head shape, not the * on the keypad)
    Function, Error, Clear.

It took me a few tries to figure that out myself.

(That's my old home town, Chicago)
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

      an

      Are you a tech?.
Perhaps one of your button-switches in the panel control is not working,
it is more trouble, but If you're already stucked at this point I would try anything.
Disassemble the panel control so you can reach the solder points of the following keys *,2,8
and check them (with DMM) for positive continuity when pressed, otherwise change the ones not working, reassemble and try again.

Are we sure that this isn't a model where you oppen the front door and activate the service switch with a paper clip?

If there is a hole in the front cover then you should seea dollar sign onthe control panel once you push it. After that you need to push aditional functions then 4 to get into service mode to execute eror clear
