    Re: Canon CLC3220

    Why don't u buy a Manual to study on this series ??

    HAVE U REPLACED THE MAGENTA DRUM

    E020 There is a fault associated with the drum/developer.

    first 2 digits of detail code
    xx=01: Y
    xx=02: M
    xx=03: C
    xx=04: Bk

    x80=The actual value is considerably high in relation to the ITB surface reflectance when a new
    drum unit is fitted. The SALT sensor is faulty.

    The fault occurs while ATR control is being executed.

    xx81=The actual value is considerably high in relation to the ITB surface reflectance when a new
    drum is fitted.

    The fault occurs while ATR control is being executed.

        E020 are common codes in this printer/ u need follow a maintenance procedure on these models/
        which means u remove all units(fuser-duplex-ITB-cleaning blade-Drums-toner-MF-Salt sensor/ and clean interior/inspect those units & clean/ remove ITB sheet>clean interior>clean ITB rollers

        worked on thousands of these 3200 series models, I never just pop a drum in on a E020, u will learn

        it's all about learning the copy process on these models-

            make sure when removed-to clean>u re-seat properly > see manual
            SALT Sensor inside the= "Pattern Reading Unit" also includes the auto registration sensor PCB

            SALT-Dhalf control mechanism is used to stabilize the gradation of images on the ITB. It makes up for the changes in gradation characteristics that occur in response to the deterioration in developer or photopositive drum, changes in temperature/humidity, and changes that occur as the machine is used over time.
