[Error Code] Canon IR C3200 E020-0225

I was getting an E020-0225 code at start up in the mornings, also after about 20 copies bands of magenta and yellow background. I replace the drum units with remanufactured units except for Cyan is OEM and replaced the ITB belt with new and also installed new gears on the ITB unit. now I still getting the code and it won't go away after turning off and on as before. density shows .84 y / -.21 M / -.53 C / -1.00 K and drum life shows a 1.

any sugestions?

what shape is your ITB assembly in? That sub code points to a problem with the SALT sensor. You may want to pull it out and clean it to make sure the sensors are working properly.

check the sensor ATR.
check the shutter drum cyan.
when the density value is negative means that the toner is not being fed properly, check the toner supply system.
make adjustment of gradation
and then verify that the density values were changed.

Check the salt sensor for proper installation or any pinched wires.

1-Turn off PASCAL in service mode.
2-Run CCD AUTO ADJ.
3-Turn PASCAL back on.
Exit service mode and complete a FULL Auto-gradation.

Thank you for your help. I removed and clened the salt sensor, the copier gat past the E020-225 then went to a E20-0434. After looking at some other forms it looked like the Black unit was defective and I repalced it with a used one - no codes. did an auto graduation. seemed to be ok.


Next problem is that it is having is a deletion top to bottom, thin line, not solid more fuzzy, kind of looks like a hesitation but the print is not compressed or stretched not on every copy and not in the same spot.
Also after about 5 to 10 copies I am getting bands of magenta (left to right). Both problems same as before all the new parts.

scan the samples in so we can see them. It will be much easier to give you advice that way.

print out single color Test prints PG5 for each color/

check your external separation roller/ & internal sep roller inside ITB-
Check your primary transfer rollers inside ITB

interesting how the streaks come and go. Could be the reman drums...could be something in your ITB or laser units floating around as well blocking the laser light. The PG-type 5 test page will let you see the streaks better and in which color. Run about 20 of each color to see if they show up at all.
