    [Dead] canon IRC5180 ADF..

    adf was dead and live couple times,.
    and we change to other adf,,

    still dead.
    someone said we need new firmware,,

    if anyone can help~.

      which ADF model do u have ?? look on metal plate on rear of unit--

      what exactly is the issue please explain /power-errors-error messages-jams

      do u see a steady green light when paper is present in tray ????
      or does it flash on/off & post a jam message ?
      for DADF M1/ check ADF Open/Close Sensor

      which detects movement of the entire DADF-M1 unit when it is in the up or down position needs a change state.
      The sensor can be checked in I/0 mode Copier > I/0 > Feeder address P001, Bit "3".
      **Knowledge is time consuming, exhausting and costly for a trained Tech.**

          we had to down load upgrade firmware and
          reset all adf Setting,..
          service mode and adf than rest everything ,,
