We have a IRC3200 coier that was damaged in shipment. I took the C,Y & M Drum units and installed on a refurb w'ere doing. I know that,s not a great idea .Any way when I go to the Auto Gradation Adj. I'm able to get one test sheet out.when i go to the next step and take the 1st print and put on the glass to scan .I get the following message "Correctly place the test print on the glass". Is this due to the drums I installed or coincidence?Misspelled the model it's IRC3200.

Re: Auto Gradation Problem for IRC3200
the placement of the image on the page is not in the correct spot causing the machine to stop the adjustment and give you that message. I doubt it is the drums you installed but more likely the paper not being secured in the cassette properly or your ITB drive gears/roller slipping or your lasers needing aligning. Run a PG type 6 or 10 to see if they lines are lined up correctly.Accidents don't just happen. They must be carelessly planned. -
Re: Auto Gradation Problem for IRC3200
First at all, you should determine if the scanner or the print engine itself has taken damage during shipping.
Do a test print, does it look ok? if so, the print engine seems to be not harmed during shipping...btw.: if there would be a severe damage, you should get a bunch of exxx errors during startup the mashine.
Second, do a Copy, how does it look like?If sometimes you feel a little useless, offended and depressed always remember that you were once the fastest and most victorious sperm of hundreds of millions!Comment

Originally posted by Canon.TechYou need to remove the ITB belt & clean the inside & the rollers, if you say you have another machine use the ITB unit from that.
When these machines are moved or indeed when removing drums toner can leak & cause the ITB to slip thus causing the colours to misalign.Accidents don't just happen. They must be carelessly planned.Comment
