paper deck 1 problem on iR2230

    Hello fellow tech's

    Machine counter is 310k

I ( like we all do) have one problem whit drawer 2 on ir2230.
Will begin whit constant paper jamming at paper deck 1.I fixed it whit out vertical door modification by applying pressure rubbers on each side of pick-up's vertical doors to make pressure on vertical pick-up guide tray
    (i replaced old sponged rubbers).

Everything was fine for next 100k copies. Now paper from deck 2 still exit from deck 2 pickup and comes to vertical rollers of pickup 1 and then it stops, every time.

When i apply a little of pressure on vertical pick-up doors, paper goes whit out jam but when i relies pressure of it, paper start to jam again.

Did anyone find any solution for this problem on iRxx70 except for vertical door modification?

Put a piece of the foam strip on the black guide that puts pressure on the vert roller Also make sure the vert roller is gray and not black Canon revised the roller

If the jams are only occurring from cassette 2, then the problem may be caused by wear to the vertical path sensor flag. Try replacing it with FL2-6580 and change the Vertical Path Rollers at the same time.

Also check for damage to the Vertical Path Guide, part number FC5-0595-010.

Listen to DanDryer..the new sensor flag has a metal tip on it..the original ones are notorious for wearing down
