    Canon irc5185 fiery question

    Hello

We received a couple of Canon irc5185 with fierys. We are haveing issues trying to print with them. Can I just remove the fierys? If so do I need to change any settings?

    Thanks

yes you can disconnect the fiery devices, but this would only leave you with UFR printing to print.

what kind of issues are you having with the printing through the fierys?

We are not able to get them to print. One the first machine I thought I had sent a test print and the processing data light started to blink but it did not print. I tried to cancel the job from the machine and it kept saying cancelling job. After rebooting the machine the jobs sent to it never arrive. They do not stay in the que but never get to the copier.

On the second one I can not ping or access the machine over the network and am stuck there.

I am having trouble printing. On the first machine we had one print job that started the data light blinking but the job never printed. I found a job log and see all the test prints and the jobs sent show with a NG #857 code

The other machine I can not even log into.

        Thanks

If its a 5185i it should have PCL5c/6, PostScript3 Emulation and UFRII

If I do remove the fiery do I have to change any settings? I am able to ping the machine in question and see the machine on the web interface but when I unplug the fiery and unplug the two cables going between the fiery and machine I get the message I can not. Also I see the message to check the power for the server.

the check server message is normal when you have the fiery off or disconnected. The copier is looking for it.

personally I would take the fiery back to factory default then configure it for your network. The UFR print driver is very basic and the color quality sucks.
