    Canon ImagePRESS Server Q1

    Hello,

I have an ImagePRESS Server Q1 that is not working. I think the Hard drive might be damaged or something. The server's display is in blank and not working. I tried to plug the server to a monitor and it didn't work either. is there a way to configure an empty hard drive so it works as the original? if so what kind of software is used? I know it is a software called Fiery something. any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Manuel Ubau

When turning the Server on, there is no front display and no VGA to an external monitor.

have u opened the box to inspect interior ??????????
Before replacing the Motherboard, try replacing or checking the memory.
Replaced the Mother Board PCB (FE1-6111-000) and utilized the Update Software. After installing the new mother board you will connect the dongle that comes with the mother board and power the server on. At this point you can verify if the mother board has fixed the problem. If the problem is resolved you need to run the Update Software CD that comes with the mother board to complete the repair.

The activity light on the imagePRESS Control Panel indicates current imagePRESS activity.

Flashing Orange = The imagePRESS is starting up and the BIOS has established communication with the User Interface Board (UIB).

Flashing Green = The imagePRESS is continuing start up and the Windows XPe operating system has established communication with the UIB.

Solid Green = The imagePRESS is powered-on and in an idle state.

Solid Yellow = The imagePRESS is powered off but the AC power cable is plugged into the power source. The Control Panel LCD continues to draw power when the imagePRESS is powered off.

Flashing or Solid Red = An error has caused printing to be disabled.

No light = The imagePRESS is powered off and the AC power cable is not connected to a power source.

for Flashing Orange = The imagePRESS is starting up and the BIOS has established communication with the User Interface Board (UIB).
Re-check all cables and connections. Make sure that the HDD data cable is connected to the correct SATA port (J19) on the motherboard
Try to replace the HDD SATA cable
could also have a damaged UIB
