Re: iR C2620 with ImagePass C2 trouble

sorry about the wrong imagePress- I know about the differences/

Depending on Fiery model, on newer ones EFI did away with the on/off switch for Canon
Either way, always shut down the Fiery using the Control Panel under the Printer Tab, follow instructions on prompts using control panel Shutdown method

as stated --in the password prompt u need to use Fiery.1/ if this password does not work/ u will need to reload firmware -

someone posted on a Fiery Password Retrieval Tool
they created/ search for it if needed

I finaly got into setup options thanks to the Fiery.1 Password, now i describe what happened.

      Run Setup> Hit yes> reboot.
      enter password (Fiery.1)>Network SetUp>Port setup>Ethernet setup>enable ethernet (Yes)>auto detect (Done)
Network Setup>Protocol setup>TCP/IP setup>Ethernet setup>Enable TCP/IPFor ethernet(Yes)>Enable auto IP Configuration(Yes)>Select Protocol ( DHCP )> Binding TCP/IP To ethernet> Cannot find Ip Address or subnet mask>Done>shows Gateway Address= 127.0.0.1 ( i changed To 192.168.1.1)> shows Invalid gateway. hit ok . Before i did set the IP Adress to 169.168.1.10/ 255.255.255.0 and save the changes.
What am i doing wrong for the invalid gateway, what i should do?

i do really apreciate everybody help!!!

This actually indicate that Fiery is unable to get any IP address from router. Set this "Enable auto IP Configuration(Yes)" to NO. Then you will be able to specify a static IP of your choice network, if I'm not wrong in the range of 169.168.1.xxx

Re: iR C2620 with ImagePass C2 trouble

              look carefully your ip is.....
              169.168
              gateway is......
              192.168

those 2 do not go together 169/192 ( they should be the same )

if you have no gateway leave it as dfault 127.0.0.1
or make an ip address on the proper subnet.

what is the ip address of your pc?

Re: iR C2620 with ImagePass C2 trouble

Procedure for performing NIP-CHK on Color ImageRUNNER machines?

                    • If the finisher is attached and connected, remove it from the copier and pull out the lattice cable.
                    • Place LTR size paper in the MANUAL FEED TRAY.
                    • Enter Service Mode FUNCTION>FIXING>NIP-CHK.
                    • Press the OK key and the paper in the manual feed tray is fed.
                    • When the fed paper is pressed by the fixing roller, it stops, and is delivered about 15 seconds later.
                    • Check that the nip width of the delivered paper is the standard value. (Cyan is used for this test)
                    • Adjust as needed to meet specification using the procedure outlined below.

The steps above typed in BOLD are "added" steps for technicians who typically work only on CLC machines or with limited IR knowledge.
