I've had these out...what a pain in the ass. Cams for shutters at bottom of assembly have to be synchronized properly...line up the little holes, half holes,...what a pain

It was the switch , the error code is gone, but I need to confirm the copy quality issue.

The color copy quality is really bad, color is off and light horizontal lines, check the sky-shot on the black drum and it's grey not solid black plus i see 2 inch void area around drum.The drum unit is brand new.
Just want to confirm that the issue is ITB unit.

Copier has 10k copies, but it wasn't working right for couple months and also some other guy was playing here with the copier.

HI,

yes the switch was replaced, was not engaging fully, the contact was on and off. New switch solved the issue. Hope this helps.

Primary Transfer Roller Disengagement Control
The Primary Transfer Roller is usually engaged. The Primary Transfer Roller needs to be disengaged when a part is replaced; otherwise, the ITB can contact with the Drum Unit.

The timing to make the Primary Transfer Roller disengaged
• At the time of shipment
• In the case of selecting the ITB/Drum Unit replacement in service mode or user mode
The timing to make the roller engaged
• At power-on
• At recovery from sleep mode
• When the Front Door is opened/closed

The roller is engaged after the roller is once disengaged.
Related service mode:
• Execution of the Primary Transfer Roller disengagement
COPIER > FUNCTION > MISC-P > T1-UP
Related user mode:
• Execution of ITB/Drum Unit Replacement Mode
Adjustment/Maintenance > Maintenance > ITB/Drum Unit Replacement Mode > Start
The above mode is displayed by selecting the following in service mode:
COPIER > OPTION > DSPLY-SW > ITB-DSP > 1 (default: 0)

on REAR Plate-- SW1 ( Primary Transfer Disengagement Switch) for Displacement, Replace the Main Drive Assembly if Needed, FM4-7716-000.

The Fixing Motor is involved in both the operation of the Fixing Assembly and the Primary Transfer Disengagement.

Thank you very much. I have a problem with a iR ADV C2230. Error E0074-000. Fisrt, I will replace the ITB Unit, I hope that fix the problem. Thank you. I will let you know how it works.
