Working on a IR-C3080i. When the customer prints to the unit the Print jobs hangs for up to 30 min. before printing out. Copy jobs go right through. Fax jobs go right through. Unit is connected to a network and all users are having the same issue. Once it starts to print the print job is fast, no hesitation between pages. They are using the UFR drivers. Reset all the setting in the NIC but still the same problem. Not sure what to look at next.

Acting the same way when connecting directly to the unit. It may be a little faster but not much.Comment

Re: Print jobs hanging up
sounds odd...
ethernet speed setiigs are ok? try to set from auto to 100mb full duplex and see, what happens.
If i remember correctly, the print jobs are spooled on the hd first, maybe the hd is slowly dying, or there are some corrupted files. I would try to format Hdd first and reload firmware.
BTW.: reseat RAM on mainboard is always a good idea to start withIf sometimes you feel a little useless, offended and depressed always remember that you were once the fastest and most victorious sperm of hundreds of millions!Comment

Re: Print jobs hanging up
Have you tried reloading the firmware?
I have also seen where the RAM has caused issues similar to this along with a defective HDD, but that affected both copies and prints.
First thought was the print driver or driver configuration though.Accidents don't just happen. They must be carelessly planned.Comment
