    different finishing trays

Do you happen to know how to get the printer to put different print
    jobs in different finishing trays?

    what model?
    what finisher?

I don't think what you want to do is possible.
The adjustment under additional functions> commmon settings> output settings
allows you to send ALL print to a secific ray, ALL copy to another tray, All fax, mailbox,or other to another tray.
The DEFAULT sends a mix of copy and print to EITHER tray, as the copier decides.

Not sure if this is what you mean:

If I have a print job I want to go to tray A, then in the printer driver, finishing settings, I can change Auto to A - or B if that is what is wanted.

So, I suspect they can go into their document and set the printing default (for that document) to the tray they want.

Maybe Jim wants to send his stuff to tray B all the time - set his print driver default output to B.

Just make sure you do set the tray designations to allow printer output to the trays you want.

I believe once the trays are set for the Finisher output on the control panel (PRINTS-COPIES-OTHER) u can not select from print driver to switch over for convenience at a workstation.

All operations involved in these modes are controlled by the finisher controller PCB, according
to the appropriate commands from the host machine

              Modes
              Non-sort: trays 1 and 2
              Sort: trays 1 and 2
              Staple: trays 1 and 2

But maybe if tray designation is set for both trays to accept print jobs you may be able to. One way to find out. Go try it.

                  good point/

but if u have copy set for either tray it would mix with prints

or /You can set up the printing priority feature-
A job that is set to a high priority is printed preferentially after the job currently being performed.

when printing documents sent from a personal computer for Local Printing-
after pressing the [Change P Settings] key on printer
                  only option for Finisher is--
                  Finisher
                  -With the Finisher
                  Do not Collate/ Collate/ Offset Collate*/ Group/ Offset Group/ Staple (Corner (TopLeft/ BtmLeft/
                  TopRight/ BtmRight), Double (Left/ Right))
                  -With the Finisher+Puncher Unit-B1
                  Do not Collate/ Collate/ Offset Collate*/ Group/ Offset Group/ Staple (Corner (TopLeft/ BtmLeft/
                  TopRight/ BtmRight), Double (Left/ Right))/ Hole Punch
                  -With the Copy Tray-C3
                  Do not Collate/ Collate*/ Rotate Collate/ Group/ Rotate Group

                  for PS Printing/ driver
                  Finishing Option
                  available output options are:
                  NOTE
The available finishing options vary, depending on the output options attached to the printer.
                  • When a Collate option is available in the [Print] dialog box of the application software, the Collate option setting of the printer driver has priority, regardless of the same setting in the application software. However, in some application software, output is collated when
the collate option is selected in the application software even if the Collate option is not selected in the printer driver.
                  • To output document pages using the Group option, you must select [Group] in the printer
driver, regardless of a group option setting in the [Print] dialog box of the application software.
Collate Outputs sorted copies of the document in correct binding order into the output tray.
Group Outputs document pages in groups into the output tray.
Staple Outputs stapled copies of the document into the output tray.
