hello,
I setup our iR3570 to forward faxes to a Window share, and to send scanned images to the same Windows share. This worked like a dream for 6 months. In late december of 2006 I started seeing intermittent failures (on a daily basis) with both sending scanned documents to the Windows server, and forwarding faxes to the same Windows share. The log reports all the failures are error 751 (it also says Windows SMB error)
#751
The server is not functioning. The network is down (the server is unable to connect to the network or was disconnected).
Check the recipient's address.
Check that the network is up.
I checked to make sure it wasn't a Windows rights issue (it isn't, the password and user account in Active Directory work fine) and decided that to ask the network guys to check the cable, port, switch, etc.,.
The network guy is adamant it's not a network issue, but won't give me any proof. Any suggestions for more troubleshooting? Is there a way to set a longer timeout or a retry in the Web interface?
thanks very much!
