    [Misc] Iradvc5045 touchscreen not working

    I have IRADVC5045 with touchscreen not responding. You can go to service mode but cannot use touchscreen to navigate as it does not respond to anything. Any known fix for this? Thanks.

      check and clean All connections to the touch screen
      ------------------------------------------------------
      remove Memory Dimms on the Main Controller 1> clean ends > re-seat check

      or replace the 2 SDRAM Chips, FM4-0831-000, found on Main Controller 1.
      replace if needed

      Touching buttons on Liquid Touch Panel does not show any response
      Problem :
      In the field, though this was a very rare case, touching buttons on Liquid Touch Panel didn't show any response or showed only slow response after removing or installing parts related to the Touch Panel Assembly. The ten-key operation wasn't impacted at all. When a similar symptom occurs, perform the following field remedy.

      When the Antistatic Sheet [B] was installed on the Liquid Touch Panel [A], the Antistatic Sheet was slightly misaligned. This caused contact of the conductive part (e.g. [C]) in the cut part of the Antistatic Sheet and the exposed transparency electrode on the edge of the Liquid Touch Panel. As a result, the Liquid Touch Panel was touched and the CPU recognition in the Liquid Touch Panel worked incorrectly.



      Solution :
      1. The Antistatic Sheet was cut to prevent a touch to the sponge for protection of the Touch Panel Assembly. Remove the Touch Panel Assembly and check if the cut part of the Antistatic Sheet touches the sponge and if it resulted in deforming the Antistatic Sheet and then the deformed Antistatic Sheet touches the edge of the Touch Panel Assembly.

      2. When the Antistatic Sheet touches the edge of the Touch Panel Assembly, reinstall the protection sponge in a way of avoiding a touch to the cut part of the Antistatic Sheet. When the Antistatic Sheet is deformed, replace the Antistatic Sheet and then reinstall it.

      3. When the above steps don't resolve the symptom, replace the Liquid Touch Panel.

          Update on this one! reseated PJs on MC but no joy. Replaced control panel to resolve problem. Thanks all.

          I however suspect the LCD being the faulty componet. Any idea.
