[CQ] Scanning Quality Advice on a 3570 I have .

I got this one in with some other machines for resale. I dont have the other machines in shop to compare but thought I would ask here.

What do you think of this scan and the small black dots. This is at 600 x 600 I think 300 is worse and 200 x 200 is striped with them.

What do you think. Is this normal?

From the look at your second pdf, the problem seems to come from the dev unit or the drum cylinder.Try to clean the dev unit with metal polish cleaner Brasso or replace drum.

First of all you must clean the CISS unit, and the copyboard glass, do not forget to clean the white stripe on the glass.
Put ten sheets of white paper on the copyboard glass.
Then go to service mode to adjust the CCD : COPIER > FUNCTION > CCD > CCD ADJUST and DF-WLVL1 / 2 for ADF reading.

I believe poster said these are glass SCANS of Test Prints. (User Data Print-Windows test print)

Network prints of these must be OK !

Dev. issues would show on test prints before Scan

I would say you nailed it and since you have an identical example you rock Sir!

Will reset ribbon. Yes these are glass scans, stream read emails of internal prints that are FINE!
            Will report!

Dont understand why this forum will not allow us to edit posts we made yesterday......

But that reset of the ribbon cured the machine. Im aware of similar problems in 3225. Should have just done it.
              Thanks!
