    IR105 JAM AT EXIT

Hi to you all.Am working on this machine which shows paper jam immediately when the paper starts to get out of the exit rollers. The paper breaks all of a sudden and remains being held by the fuser rollers.I have replaced all the three sensors, checked all the sensor flags which are fine, lubricated the fixing bearings, and every movement of the paper is ok and no jam codes. However as the paper tries to get out of the machine say about 3-4cm it automatically stops.Any assistance requested, thanks.

    and no jam codes
Nothing, nada, zilch? thats very odd. Did you check error code log, if e-codes appear instead?
Go into service mode and check Copier>I/O, Adress P010/Bit 12,13 and 14. (internal and external delivery sensor PS9/10 and Fixing feeder unit outlet sensor PS11 ) ; does it change, when activated by paper?

      Re: IR105 JAM AT EXIT

      Hello all of you

Does the machine show error jam related to this situation in: Copieur>Display> Jam ? If yes, send the codes.

If the machine doesn't display any jam code, that could be explained by the fact that paper has left all the sensors but it cannot exit from the machine because the delivery rollers are not turning.

Does the copier have a finisher on it. If not you will neeb to instal a exit roller on the copier to allow it to eject paper properly.

I had a ir105 in a print shop away back in the day, it would ram at the fuser , turned out that the fuser pressure had been maxed out to fuse toner to special paper the customer wanted to use. The pressure would stop the machine when paper hit the fuser nip. I never would have figured this one out if the fuser roller hadnt broken in two..

Hi Teckat and all friends, the 52T gear is ok.The funny part of this machine is that the paper leaves the fuser rollers, comes all the way past the internal and external delivery sensors and tries to go thru the delivery, rollers to a distance of say an inch and stops on all paper cassettes at the same position. All bearings are well lubricated with smooth run, sensor wiring ok.

Are you sure the paper is not being inverted for face down delivery and just trying to exit. Your deflector solenoid could be bad or stuck. Try to make one copy off the glass and see what happens.

Set copier to do faceup delivery, this will give you an idea whether or not the solenoid for inversion is working

                        Re: IR105 JAM AT EXIT

The problem here is the final exit because if you set the machine to 2sided mode, both sides get printed but the paper ejection becomes the problem. I have personally opened up the machine for critical observation and you realise the selonoids performing, but the paper reaches the ejection rollers and suddenly stops.

This is an essential information you did not give us before, this indicates, that the sensors and the internal processes in the mashine are ok.
Whats odd here is, that there is no jam code popping up in the history. Check the error history instead, are there new codes coming up matching the time when the jam occours?
Did you perform a DC_con reset already and reinstall firmware?

Is the one way clutch on the fuser exit shaft slipping?

That would prevent a 2-sided print also
