Canon IR2520 Deep Sleep

Dear all ,

im facing a wired problem in Canon IR2520 the problem is when i turn the machine on and copy /print everything ok , about an hour the machine goes on a sleep mode the Green LED still lighting but when i come to the machine and press the on/off key which located on the panel the machine didnt wake up till i turn all the machine off and then turn in on back to work,also if i left it i do the same problem .

what i did ?
1: first off all i stopped all the timers from function key
2: i removed the UTP Cable and let the machine singal i guessed maybe some virus do this
3: i update thre Boot Rom and made software
4: i replaced the machine with a new one also still facing the same problem and this made me crazy
P.M : i have the same model of the machine at the same client and same department and didnt face problem

any help ??

Can be a local network issue.First you can do,install latest firmware and turn off network discovery.

Sleep mode is a useless program/ u don't extend consumables/or save money

To disable Sleep Mode on the machine:


Additional Functions, 2 and 8 simultaneously, then Additional Functions.

2. Select COPIER.

3. Hit OPTION.

4. Press USER.

5. Look for the SLEEP option. Change the value of SLEEP from 1 to 0.

6. Hit OK.

7. Reboot the machine.

or if available-Change ENERGY CONSUMPTION to High in user mode.
Additional functions>Common settings>Energy consumption in sleep mode>High.

or RE FORMAT HD/ RE LOAD FIRMWARE

Sorry Teckat seems that u miss in model this is IR2520 and there;s no Option on the service mode in this ???or there's and its hidden in some where dont know where .

IR 2520 have standard numeric fax service mode.I hate this.

Lol, I also faced this problem too, and not solved yet, I just disabled sleep timer.

Dear all ,

sorry for being late ,but the problem is solved when we change its location to another location ,that was the electricity problem by the way it was at IT department and they have regulator but dont know why this happen .
