Thank you for the replies so far.

To update: i think the printer is set up as Jamesu described. The printer cable (which to my knowledge is a Ethernet cable) plugs into the wireless router, making the printer act like a wireless printer. So to use the printer we have to change from one wireless network with internet, to another wireless network for the printer (which has no internet).

I do not know if the drivers are correct. I found them from cannons website, and the printer did work for one day then it stopped, and started doing the 10 pages (there may be more, as i stop the print job, when it starts printing these pages. 10 is the most it has got to before i stopped the print out).

I have attached the first page of what is printed out.

When i looked it up, it looked like a printer definition file, though i could be wrong.

I will check the drivers and see if i can find any other ones, and see if that helps on Thursday.

As i want to get this sorted (it’s becoming a pain having to print stuff of at home and send it to people, when i could print it there) any other suggestions as to what to try on Thursday would be welcomed and thank you for all the help so far.

Your attached indicate printer driver use might be of the type "true" postscript. iR2200 even though comes with PS but do remember it is emulated PS, the so-called PS3 in Canon MFD.

You will need to hunt down which of the PC is using a printer driver with the IP port of this iR2200 that giving you this headache of "garbage prints". Or you could consider changing another set of IP address for iR2200 and re-configured all PC printer driver to this new IP address

Sorry for delay in response, had a hectic week.

We tried changing the driver (i think to the pcl 8.70 driver) and the printer worked fine. Hoping it continues like this.

(I am unsure if there is a way to close this topic, so if there is can someone please tell me and i will do it.)
