Canon NP 6016 Streaks in feed direction

Hi folks, Have a NP 6016 machine with streaks in feed direction, see attachment for sample.

I re-manufactured the A1 Drum assembly with new drum, wiper and PCR.

Made the adjustments for the new drum ( Primary & IP_OFST )

The customer was using aftermarket toner, emptied the developer and replaced with OEM toner

To me it seems either the pre-exposure lamp is faulty or the drum isnt cleaning properly. Looking at the drum, the streaks of toner is both on the PCR and drum, if I wipe both clean the copies come out ok for the first few copies, then the streaks start from rear of machine moves up toward the front. If I turn the drum to clean itself, it seems to leave residual lines on the drum, cleaning a little bit but not all of the streaks.

Could a bad pre-exposure lamp cause the toner to stick harder to the drum or is the cleaning portion not cleaning?

Any way to test the pre-exposure?

Streaks are also in the non-image area

u better check Drum assembly /especially the PCR Position

Yeah I saw one of these beasties recently. The drum blade had turned brown, and might as well have not been there at all. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
        1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
        2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
        3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
        4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
        5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

I re-seated the drum and PCR, then placed the old PCR back in. No changes.

Pulled the Pre-Exposure out, turned on the copier ever so carefully and watched 9 LED lamps light up, no problems in this area.

The budget is tight on this, I might re-check the grounding on all the connections.

Ideally I would pop a new OEM drum, but that's why its ideal.

The aftermarket toner was cleaned thoroughly out, I have a black blotched dress shirt to prove this, I can safely rule this cause out. Can a bad Dev connection cause this?

If you guys have any suggestions on how to corner this problem, given the lack of leeway on money, I would appreciate it. Regardless of the customer, my curiosity and ego needs to be satisfied.

What does the mag roller look like? Keep in mind that those developing units were only good for 75K, optimistically.

I'll tell you what. Emergency stop the machine with paper under the drum. Then carefully remove the drum unit. You'll get three pieces of information. If the background is there between the cleaning blade and the developing unit it's drum cleaning. If it's found between the developing unit and the transfer it's a developing problem. =^..^=
