    NP7130 Blank Copies

    Hey Folks been quite a while since I've worked on these machines. Got a 7130 with completely blank copies. Dev is latching properly against drum. Service manual has an image for blank copies but nothing underneath the troubleshooting :-/

    thanks

    Check to see if rear side of dv has fallen away from the drum. Rear dv mount breaks on those. Gotta remove boards in rear and drive a screw into hole where the mount broke.

        NP7130 doesn't use wire, uses transfer roller

          Something like this?:

          =^..^=
          If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
          1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
          2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
          3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
          4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
          5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

            Try to perform the following;
            1.During the copy run, make an abrupt stop by switching off the machine & open the machine to see whether there are prints on the drum.If the prints appear on the drum then change the transfer roller.
            2.During the copy run,by making an abrupt stop and no prints on the drum, check on the composite power supply board for any possible dry joints going through the HVT fly back.
            3.Check on the bias connection of the dev unit
            4.Disconnect the current to the transfer roller and make a copy.If the copy is faint with poor transfer, then replace the transfer roller

              Problem solved. Dev bias was dirty and only making partial contact. A lil emery cloth and she's running like new.

              Thanks folks
