    iR1600 image problem

Hello Techs. I have problem on ir1600 where blending occurs 2 cm from the edge in sub scan. That " blending" is like u can see letters but in extreamly low density (poorly visible)

Developer is ok, few lines across it but there's toner on both edge
After drum where changed same thing.
    Optics cleaned

Only one thing stayed i didn't clean was a laser unit.

Machine have (lol or rolf or haha) 270k copes.....

    Any similar problems?

If this machine is in a nasty environment it may very well be the laser needs cleaning, but at 270k you will probably need a transfer roller, these are often not replaced at a regular interval. The book say's 150K for the transfer roller and the dev. unit.
Like the United States Postal Service It's a miracle it works!

Print some test prints in service mode to see if its from the print engine or the reader. If the prints are good, then you have a reader problem...do ccd adjustment,shading....watch when its scans. I've had the guide clips on the CIS fall off and cause scan problems..they ride on the bottom of the platen glass.
