I was just out at a customers office that has a Canon IR7095. When you start the machine from a cold start it goes through a very slow boot up process and comes back with a cannot recognize finisher message. This was the initial problem so no previous work was done to the machine to cause it. Whats confusing is it gives me 2 choices. The first one is to try again to recognize or to continue without it. Either one I choose it goes through the same process again of slow bootup and the same does not recognize finisher error. Sometimes the touch screen freezes up and doesnt work on the E-copy. i can't get it to boot up properly even with the finisher disconnected and can't get into service mode. The sorter has power and it goes through what seems like its normal boot up process. I've tried a new finisher controller and dc controller on the machine side. Nothing changes. Cable ohms out. Cant get into service mode to check ACC settings but dont think that would change on its own. Had a similiar problem awhile back with this screen but was able to continue without recognizing finisher and boot machine normally to troubleshoot. Am I missing something or forgetting to check something. i thought all communication between the two devices was the dc controller to the finisher controller. I've also reseated all connections on both boards a couple of times. Has anybody run into the same wierd problem. Help!
