    Contact Sensor HP error,
    Failure in return

    (1) Check the connection of Flat Cable between Main
Controller Board (J5) and Contact Sensor.

    (2) Replace the Flat Cable between Main Controller
    Board (J5) and Contact Sensor.

    (3) Replace the Contact Sensor.

    4) Replace the Main Controller Board.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it

" Memory is Full " is indicated on the Control Panel display and the copier is locked up. ??
            see below>>>>>
Performing ALL CLEAR in service mode clears out the message " Memory is Full " and should resolved the service message.

To perform ALL CLEAR in service mode, enter service mode by pressing the Additional Functions key then the number 2 key then the number 8 key then the Additional Functions key again.

#SSSW will appear on the display. Use the arrow keys and scroll to # CLEAR then select OK.

Use the arrow keys and scroll to "ALL" then select OK. "Please Wait" will appear on the display. After awhile, the copier will reboot then come "Ready".

            or
For Intermittently issue only, the message Memory is Full is occurring on the display of the Control Panel.
Adding extra memory to the Image Processor pcb will resolve the Memory Full message issue.

-For the imageRUNNER 2016 / 2020 / 2018 and 2022 the standard memory installed on the Image Processor pcb is 128MB. It is possible to upgrade to 256MB of memory.

-For the imageRUNNER 2016 and 2020 the 128MB DDR Module has to be replaced with the 256MB DDR Module because there is only one slot for memory on the Image Processor pcb. Part number for the 256MB DDR Module is FM2-4898-000.

-For the imageRUNNER 2018 and 2022 just add another 128MB strip of memory to the open slot, J2, on the Image Processor pcb. Part number for the 128MB strip of memory is FM3-3324-000.

            or
"Memory Full" Message is Displayed, When Color Scanning Only

Message may be resolved simply by re-seating the USB Flash Memory, and the DDR module on the IP board.
