    IR 3300

Can anyone help me on this one.
I am trying to install an external counter for a customer who uses the copier for public use and need to monitor the copies used by the customer in a shop, just like TRM copy service.

On Np series I had connected the wiring direct from Dc controller, from counter o/p signal and using 24v resettable counter using lenght cable.

I would like to do the same on the ir series , please help,
as this copier has digital counter.
I know it can be done , but dont know where to connect on copier.

    thanks.

    here is some help

its the same as np,almost. has a connector with a jumper connector in it, take the jumper connector off then plug yours in. probably on the right side of the machine, upper right rear. Its J1060 on the main controller. pin 2 is jumpered to pin 4 in normal operation. 4 is the ground 2 is the ccv signal. thats the line that lets the copier work or dont work. the count signal must be either 1 or 3 on the connector thats at the upper rear. Pins 2 and 4 are there as pin 2 and 4(same as main cont) connector j8F. you should be able to uncover the connector at the rear upper right and just connect your stuff. then maybe have to go into service mode to option>acc and tell it coin (1).
I dont know which pin is count. maybe 1 or 3. I have not tried to hack it, so dont know anymore than that.
