3035 Error 584-0001

good morning,from what i can gatherthis machine had a paper jam and the user just shut the machine off and walked away.now this error appears at start-up... 584-0001i know that its an issue with the finisher Q3/ Q4 but if somebody could give me a push in the right diriction that would be great.thanks.

The most common problem when the optional Tray- B1 is installed is that the shutter will intermittently contact the upper or lower bin resulting in a loud noise and / or E584 Codes. did u check for jam paper blockage/ or jam codes ?
check the Shutter Drive Assembly

Check the finisher tray supports (the one with the white rollers). If they are bent, the tray will not go up and down smoothly and will cause noise.

well im not exactly sure what i did...but i took it apart, checked the shutter, put it back together, and now it works.

Good to here.

There were updates for the 3570. Controler / lower sensor flag with spring! / make sure tray motor screws stay tight!

This error popped up again,

( turns out I had the finisher wrong, it was the S1 finisher)

And the issue was the spring on the arm of the shutter.... The spring was placed to pull the shutter down, and was interfering with the shutter moving up.

Gravity should pull the shutter down? Correct?

So I removed the spring, and it fixed the problem.

they redesigned the flag. I think it was made just a little longer. Im not sure about just removing the spring. I put the new style flag on and put the spring back on which was a pain. Better have a nice spring hook tool.

Redisigned the Flag on the Finisher-S1?

and i do have a couple of good spring hooks... actually one is for corona wire but it has been quite usefull as a spring hook as well.

I dont know where the tech pub is but after thinking about this Im not sure why a 3035 would not have ALL the updated S1 Finisher parts already installed! Sounds like your problem Was and IS the spring. Memory says the 4570 series was victim to all the older parts and old style controler.
