I have irc3380 in the field that says "checking fusing unit cooling mechanism, please call for service".....I've never seen this before, can someone tell me what I need to do?

This error message is caused by the Fixing Film ends heating up too much during a large job run. In which case it is not able pull enough heat from the Fixing Film. Try adjusting the setting FN-ENTMP in service mode Copier>Option>Body Level 1. Try to adjusting the temperature to a negative setting in increments and test.
"Check Cooling Fan" message is Displayed. This occurs due to the fact that the hot offset or fixability at the edge areas of standard small size paper (A4R,LTRR width, B4 width, EXE width, LDR width), in continuous copying mode increases the temperature of the fixing assembly.
In most cases, setting the value of FN-ENTMP to a setting of -4 will prevent this from occurring. Setting FN-ENTMP to a -4 allows the Cooling Fans to stay in high speed mode which allows the fans to continue to cool the Fixing Film Edges. FN-ENTMP is located in Service Mode > Copier > Option > Body > Level 1. After making the adjustment, reboot the machine to be sure the value is set in memory. In this case, the adjustment did not resolve the problem and the Fixing Cooling Fan Assembly which contains FM6, 7, and 10 had to be replaced. The part number for the Fixing Cooling Fan Assembly is FM2-5534-000.
Note: Allow the Fixing Unit to cool down in order to get a proper reading and adjustment.
Note: No error code will be displayed for a failure of one of the fans. Fans may be coming on, but since they are stepping motors they may not be going into high speed mode.**Knowledge is time consuming, exhausting and costly for a trained Tech.**
