iR ADV 6065, with code error E302-0101....

This evening is the last post ....
    I have a 6065 iR which often error code E 302-0101.
Detaching and reattaching the DADF connector, the error reset...But reappears after a few days ...

    Suggestions?

    Thank you ...

    Error :
Error code E302-0101 and E270-0101 have been occurring.

    The E302-0101 description is:
Error in shading RAM access, or the shading value is either below or higher than the reference level.

    Workaround :
Performing the Reader Controller clear corrected both error codes. Level 1 Service Mode > Copier > Function > Clear > RCON and cycle the main power.
Accidents don't just happen. They must be carelessly planned.

After clearing RCON, reset the service mode settings listed on the Service Label. The following image shows the location of the Service Label.

e302-0101 is a BACKSIDE shading issue
          this means in the DADF

I have had to replace the cable between scanner unit and reader controller for 302-0001

reader controller, scanner unit or cable can be the cause.

I know this is an aging post, but found the following in the field that may be useful to someone:

I had this error recurring on a 6055 that I just could not shake. I had replaced the flat ribbon cable, and the reader controller. Cleaned the dickens out of the white plate. Reset and manually re-entered all Rcon settings. And was about to replace the scanner itself when it was discovered that the mylars that sit above the CCD were coated from the inside with dust. This was causing the back-side shading error by causing the shading operation to fail. I was able to peel the mylars back and gently clean them. Then blow out the CCD unit with canned air to clear any other dust that may be hanging around in there.

The mylars should really be crystal clear (or at least are when new) but will glaze over with dust over time. I do not believe these are orderable parts from Canon which is a real shame. To replace the scanner is quite expensive.

              Hope this helps someone!

                Yeah.
We have been finding a lot of those too, in dusty warehouses and factories.
