Canon cassette fix - C3200 and others

Is there a way to fix one of these cassettes after the gears break. I though I was something about fixing these somewhere.
    Thanks

The method I use is pretty simple. It's the rear guide that floats free when the post breaks.

I'll set the front guide for LTR (or whatever size desired), position the paper and rear guide temporarily, just long enough to run a few copies and check front to rear registration. Adjust if necessary.

Drill a hole through the metal part of the rear guide, and through the cassette base, and countersink from the bottom for a M3x5 flathead screw. Tap the metal, and secure it with the screw.

Re-check image registration and paper fit. If it still looks good, do the same on the front guide. It takes about 1/2 hour, and will never break without catastrophic damage to the tray. And then it would be billable. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

some guys set the guides as the previous post, and glue or screw down the rear guide.

I remove a long self tapping screw from the front of the drum unit
make a small hole with tiny drill bit or screwdriver at a strategic spot
insert the long selftapper from the bottom
this prevents it from going wider

there is a 3rd party kit you can buy to make it work like new

The best way is to simply order a new casette, bill the customer & move on.

The won't break it again! in a hurry!

It's not worth the hassle of repairing, just ship a new one to the customer, after all they broke it!
