I have a customer with two ir adv c5045i's side by side. They have both done done 100k colour prints and both have a problem where what appears to be waste toner is getting under the transfer belt and adhering to the the ITB rollers, causing the ITB to buckle and cause a mottled spot effect on the prints. The machines have run flawlessly until now, but both machines have had this re-occurr twice this week. We have vacced out the cleaner units on both and clean around the drum/dev areas. Genuine Canon toner is being used. Any ideas?

We have but have no idea where it is coming from and how it is getting under the belt as there appears to be none anywhere else. How long have the new type units been available? Do you need to change just the blade or is it a new unit also?Comment
