Re: How do you rank Canon, Xerox, Ricoh and Konica?
I think all manufacturers have both great and not-so-great products in their lineups. We all have our personal favorites on both sides the equation, and rightfully so.
The key is to find the right fit for the customer, and not just plop into place what the sales rep wants to sell just to make his numbers or be a hero. This, of course, needs to be followed up by giving the customer great service at a fair price.
Over the years, I've seen killer machines placed in the wrong environment combined with sub-par service and the customer ended up hating it. At the same time, I have also seen machines that were generally considered to be clinkers, placed into the right environment, and backed up with good service, and the customers thought it was the best box they ever had.
