Printer will not power off and alarm lights stays on. Any suggestion on what the cause may be?

what is the error message ?
Press the "ON/OFF" button to power down the machine, then unplug the cord from the wall outlet or surge protector. Wait for about one minute. Plug the printer back in to its power source and turn it back on.or--------------------------
pull the plug> leave out 20min.> plug back in

As the power is plugged in the alarm light is on. I tried pressing the power button to power off but nothing happensComment

Lights or flashes orange when an error, such as paper-out or ink-out, occurs.
Disconnecting the power plug
When disconnecting the power plug after turning off the power, be sure to confirm that the ON button
is not lit. If the power plug is disconnected from the wall outlet while the ON button is lit or flashing, the
machine may become unable to print properly since the Print Head is not protected.
If the power plug is disconnected, the date/time settings as well as all documents stored in memory
will be lost. Send an unsent fax or print a necessary document before the power plug is
