    toner erased in IR 2520

    Hi all,
I have a problem in IR 2520, the toner on the copy paper didn't fixed, erased by my finger,
the counter of the machine is 12k copies.
    I did the following:
    * I changed the temperature adjustment of the heater by service mode 62, the default is 7 , I changed it up and down but it still erased.
    * I changed the old toner powder from development unit and install new one, but it still erased,
    * I changed the fixing film unit to new one, but also still erased,

I need your advice about this problem.

    thanks in advanced

Three things you can do in your case:

    Use OEM toner
    Install latest firmware
    Change paper

Check settings if you have different tipe of paper.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it

Sounds like there's no pressure on the fuser. Check that 1st.

You say that you changed the OLD toner - was it OEM? - if not you will need to completely empty & vacout the Developing Unit & reinstall the NEW Toner.

            my friend,
I didn't hear any sound, everything is very normal, also I jammed a paper in the heater unit and check if no tension exist between upper and lower, but it was equal in both sides front and rear side are equal.

It still sounds like lack of fuser pressure not uneven pressure to me. Does the whole page erase if you wipe it?

You need to check and see if pressure is applied when the door closes. There should a lever or handle that the door contacts when you close it to put pressure on the upper film with the pressure roller.

You have changed toner to OEM and Fixing Unit. Try to reset to factory setting, Clear > All, from service mode. If you have another good machine with the same type, try to borrow it's fixing unit.

Poster said he changed the film unit. You need to check pressure roller, pressure cams and anything that has to do with applying pressure in the fixing assembly.

1st: you have to be a real copier tech..
2nd: have a 2nd working machine n try to replace those related part one at a time
(part: developing unit, fixing unit, right door)
as what i experienced the most of this problem usually come from FAKE OEM toner n fixing tension issue
and try to check on the fixing unit is working correctly when the door open n close....
