    [CQ] Canon IR Adv c5051

Just had a customer call on his c5051 with ghost images and blue trails.
Could anyone please give me a heads up on what could be the problem?
We work mainly on Lanier (Ricoh) products, but this customer calls us once in a while to help.

    Thanks

Had something very similar last week, turned out that it was a sticky label that had stuck in the ITB Cleaning unit..

Thanks seniortech, I will check and see. I don't think he runs labels but I will look.

      Thanks

Check ITB belt and itb belt cleaner ( transfer folie )
          Check Drum units.
          Check fixing system.

On clc 3200 also helps, when system is blurred and you get ghost image:

          Enter service mode ( * 2 8 * ) - copier - function - clear - all.

After that reenter all settings again.

I RECOMMEND THAT ASK HIM TO CALL SERVICE.

I recommend you DO NOT clear anything on any Canon Box - 99% of the time it will be a failure in a Consumable item a User error or bad maintenance.

Sorry it took so long to respond back (we got swamped), turned out he needed all color and black drum units.
              They were totally trashed.
He did call today and said he had an error 865 and all I can find out is about a program, maybe something he is printing?
              Anyone have any ideas?

              Thanks

I called the customer back and he tells me the code is 000075-0003 and the 865 code is gone, but he had turned the machine off and turned it on when I called him.
                  Any ideas?

                  Thanks

Sorry I think I know hat it is, he had this before and the itb belt had shifted to the rear. I dont know why but it did. The machine is level, so I will go back and line it up again.

                    Thanks

I've had three bearings let go in ITB's causing the e075. When you run the ITB init you want to check under copier > Display > misc and see that the number doesn't move by more than 50, if it does you're going to want to check for a seized bearing in the ITB assembly. The machine is trying to steer but can't compensate.
