    IR2520 add paper

    Hi
I have problem with IR2520 because they show ''add paper'' even if the paper is full in cassete. When I take out the paper cassete and push it back and press 3sec. to end after that the copier detect the correct format and level of paper.
I think this is not mechanical error but Im not shure?
Do you have any other idea?

    Thank you

make sure your cassette latch is locking properly to printer body/ remove covers to inspect & adjust

remove cassettes look inside to make sure nothing is blocking tray switches (torn paper)

      Hi,
you need to remove the paper behind the cassette.
Possibly the cassette must mechanically adjusted, so that sensors can be pressed to the paper size.

        Re: IR2520 add paper

I have come across over 10 ten machines in the field with this problem. Many times i have re-opened the machine to make sure the cassette latches lock properly, but the machines will detect the paper for
a short while and go back to the same scenario, despite some times putting some supportive device to keep the cassette in place. On closer observation, the problem could be a factory default because in all this attempts sometimes i have changed sensors to no success. It is a topic worth discussing.
