When machine is warming up or in cycle it makes a grinding sound every half second. Someone else was there and told customer he needed fuser unit. Ran machine with right door open and transfer unit closed and no noise.
Removed drum unit and dv unit and gears appear okay and both turn freely manually. I removed the gear behind the little cover on upper right inner frame at 2nd upper delivery because it mated with gear on upper right side door. I did that because noise only happened with door closed but still had grinding sound. I am thinking it may be a broken tooth on a drive gear but did not see one. Any help is very much appreciated as I am far from an expert on machine. I will post results. Frank/ActionPhotocopy
PS...Also the machine jams a few inches below fuser
