Hmmmm! So what is blocking our data transfer? Ping only verifies configuration and tests the connections if they are proper or not, but doesn't guarantee network com. If I may ask, Are you running a 32-bit or 64-bit version of windows7 on your computer? Generally, Device drivers designed for the 32-bit version of windows don't work (correctly) on computers running a 64-bit versions of windows. So make sure you download and install the iR3570 driver appropriate(matching) with the windows OS version running on your computer.
- You also talked of your BOOTROM version as 3.03, without the 'N' or 'C' being specified. To eliminate any doubt I would try to replace this with a known working 'N' version.
- Ensure proper contacts at the connection terminals. Try another crossover cable. These could be simple or minor steps, but often overlooked by most techs who often charge into the equipment to look for a non existent fault.
