Did this problem start after replacing the Fixing Film Assy? If so, check the connector INSIDE the door, a common thing that happens when removing the L/H door is the connector with the Purple wires has not been disconnected from the Frame and the force of removing the door may partially disconnect the connector inside the door, which may also cause the machine to display 1 to 2 Sided copying ONLY.
[just remove the foam and replace with any hard sticker, with atleast 2mm. of clearance when you close the metal plate. sometimes thats the real caause, yes. the solenoid is working but i think its intermitent. the activation is not constant.. like timing error , because of sticky old foam. :-D
