Re: Error codes 00025-0004
Hi Zoraldinho,
It was true, the problem has to do with the hopper shutter itself and not the sensors. I am a technician and I have a deep knowledge about photocopiers. so I need the manual to help me work profersionalyComment

.You need to be trained tech to repair this type of printer.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it

Re: Error codes 00025-0004
Hello
I' have a similar problem on IPC1 + .. The code is e00025- 0403 and it alternates(when switching ON/OFF) with code e00009 -0001
If anybody has any suggestions how to fix it, or where to begin ?
I changed decurler unit (becouse e009) and no result.
Best regardsComment

Re: Error codes 00025-0004
I believe this two errors is not related.Start with measure decurler connector.(24v).Re-seat all connectors on power supply and dc-controller.
About E0025. Attn: Connection of the shutter sensor on this model is poor.If it ain't broke, don't fix it

Re: Error codes 00025-0004
A E009 0001 denotes an error detecting 24V connection of the Decurler.
There are many reasons why this error can occur but there is one obvious one....
The imagePRESS C1 and C1+ are devices that have TWO AC Plugs coming from the Main Unit. Normally, you would have one AC outlet on many products. The imagePRESS C1 and C1+ has one 20 Amp and a 15 Amp plug (see pics below). If the 15 Amp is not plugged in or AC is missing, the machine will generate the E009 0001 error code. The 15 Amp coming from the Main Unit is for the Accessories (Optional) Power Supply that supplies power to the Decurler, Puncher and Finisher.
Therefore, make sure that both AC plugs are plugged in to a wall outlet and if so, make sure that 120V is generated from the wall outlet.

E025 and E009-0001
Check if the 24v flat pin on one side of the drawer connector is bent and not making good contact. (Connectors J401F and J445)-----Replace the drawer connector ==FM2-2622-000 Cable Drawer 2
++++++++++++
Check All 24 and 13 Volt lines >from the power supply to the DC Controller.
+ Make sure u have 24 volt at J1164, pin 10 going to the De-Curler pcb from the DC Controller.
if not--------Replace DC Controller
After replacing the DC controller PCB, be sure to disconnect the jumper connector (J1152) from the old PCB and connect it to the new one.
The destination and connectors specification are indicated below:
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++100V connect the 1 and 2 pins white 120V connect the 2 and 3 pins red 230V connect the 2 and 4 pins blue
this code can also be generated by a loose connection to the buffer decurling unit. These are the connectors that go to the copier from the decurling unit

Re: Error codes 00025-0004
E025-0004
If You have just lifted and then lowered the Hopper Assy to pull out the process unit but never installed the grey upper cover shown below either because you are running tests or just forgot to reinstall it. Now you receive the E025-0004.
This is because the Hopper Shutter Lever (the grey handle shown in the picture below) was not pushed back in.
NOTE: This is an example with the grey upper cover removed because if the hopper shutter lever is not pushed in, the grey upper cover will not sit in its place.

Re: Error codes 00025-0004
-----------------------------
do u have the same SUB CODE again E025-0004 ???
or different sub codes xxxx
Check for a cut-wire of hopper sensor cable that connects the hopper shutter switch (SW15) and the host machine--
E025-0004 can be displayed when toner is supplied with the hopper shutter closed.
1, In service mode > COPIER > I/O > DC-CON, check the display of Bit 11 of address No.P001.
When "0" is displayed, go through the following procedures.
- "0": Shutter is closed/ "1": Shutter is open.
2, Open the front cover, take out the process unit cover and check that the shutter lever [1] of hopper unit is installed all the way.
HOPPER.JPG
3, Enter the shutdown sequence to turn OFF the power and remove the hopper right cover.
4, Disconnect the connector J440 of hopper sensor cable and check that there is continuity between 16-pin and 17-pin.
HOPPER.JPG
5, If there is no continuity confirmed in step 4, SW15 [2] may be faulty, shutter switch cable [3] or hopper sensor cable [4] may be cut.
Check the continuity of each part and replace the part that does not have continuity.HOPPER.JPG
1-Check the connection of the Shutter Sensor.
2-Replace the Shutter Sensor,Shutter Switch Cable, or Hopper Sensor Cable.or ALL
- SW15 [2]:
Continuity when the switch actuator is turned ON
- Shutter switch cable [3]:
Continuity between J447 1-pin and J449 1-pin
Continuity between J447 2-pin and J449 2-pin
- Hopper sensor cable [4]:
(C1)
Continuity between J440L 16-pin and J447D 2-pin
Continuity between J440L 17-pin and J447D 1-pin
(C1+)
Continuity between J440GL 16-pin and J447GD 2-pin
Continuity between J440GL 17-pin and J447GD 1-pin
