    Canon 2050 fax

Intermittent alarm light. Machine will still operate but wondering what it means. It will go away for a few days then come back. It has new toner, paper, etc.
When light comes on customer has removed and installed, toner, paper, powered on and off and light stays on. Then one day it will be suddenly be off. Strange thing is machine still seems to operate normally when light is on.
    Any ideas appreciated.
    Thank You

Could be a recycled toner cartridge causing this. Also check the toner cartridge sensor assembly which is mounted on the same frame as the laser scanner under the top cover. It could be out of place.

i'm not familiar with model but sometimes alarm will flash when memory is full. check to see whats still in memory ( memory reference). there is probably a user mode setting to delete or erase failed fax transmissions. this will stop the memory filling up
