    newbee on CANON

    Hi there!
I want to introduce myself to the canon-forum. The last 26 years i worked on Konika-Minolta & Ricoh machines. Our firm was soled to a great Canon-dealer, now we have to work on Canon either. Last week i installed my first system, an IR C2225i with fax-unit! WOW!!!!On KM you have parts & screws... but this assembly of the Canon was a really new feeling! Ricoh, unpacking, removing some tapes, inserting toner & checking and calibrating →OK. But this machine was a little bit of a shock for me. Why didn't they print "Revell" on the box? I think it's more complicated, then it has to be.
Nevertheless i hope to get some tip's & trick's in the 1. time until i get trainings & experiencies.
    Greetings...

Hi welcome to the Canon world.

Its the opposite for me we in the workshop we mainly do Canon then Kyocera , Ricoh and once every six months a KM/Bizhub.

We unbox the machines fit pedestals / doc feeders etc. The Bizhub had me searching this site for the service mode and is booby trapped, if you don't follow the instructions to the letter you get cyan lines on the copies, at least Canon haven't done anything like that with their machines.

As for Canon having "Revell" on the box Ricoh should have "Meccano" on theirs

          Welcome! =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
          1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
          2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
          3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
          4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
          5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
