I have a problem with the touch panel of IR 5050n. When you turn on the machine it starts to boot by showing the progress bar and the Canon logo then suddenly it offs the display but it still has backlight. When you turn it off and on again it stays like that it doesn't boot anymore only a blank display with backlight. If you unplug it from outlet then wait a while then restart, it boots again but doesn't complete it and back to blank display. I have checked and reseated the connectors, boot rom, memory. Also checked and reseated the connectors of the control panel. I am thinking of replacing the LCD. Do you have any suggestions of what to do? I really need it on this one. Thanks

Re: IR 5050n problem on LCD touch panel
LCD is OK if you have progress bar and Canon logo. Can you get in download mode? Try to unplug the hard disc and turn on copier to see any difference.Practice makes perfect
If it ain't broke, don't fix it
A picture is worth a thousand words
If you want something done right, you have to do it yourself

I needed a board for my Canon IR 6000.
They shipped me a rebuilt one in two days!
It looked better than brand new from the factory and only cost me $250!
I Highly reccomend them!
