        The HDD was fine as i put it in the imagerunner 3300 and ran sst.
        I'm still not sure too much about why the 2200 didn't work but it appears it was a faulty boot rom. My dad has been working in the field for over 30 years and has never seen a bootrom of that color, nationwide also confirmed that bootroms shouldn't be that color in canon machine.
