[Error Code] broken gears on 5570/5070 fusers

Were having a lot of broken gears and the clips that hold the ufr in place are braking all the time? It seems like the fuser is binding? We have updated all the lfr to the pressed on bearings, Any help

I think the latest info was....
    Do not reuse the clips.
Broken gears are just wear and tear for me.

On a similar fuser (6055) , we have been notified to lightly grease the bushing inside and outside.
    That may help you.

The problem probably started with the initial breaking of the gear, the Fixing Roller would have cracked/split causing the 52T gear to break and twist the Heatshield damaging the Timing Sensor FK2-0149. Manually reshape the Heatshield, replace the Sensor & use the correct UFR and Gear (5570 & 5055 are different).

@ canonbundy I did a check on the parts and were using the correct ones
@ luther were using FM2-4683 LFR the bearings r pressed on this LFR is there any updated parts we may not know about
were going to start greasing the bushing and see if that helps

never reuse the clips they cause slippage and broken gears.
also recheck your NIP pressure and adjust as needed after rebuilding the fuser. These units are prone to being off causing more pressure on one side and breaking the bushings, gears and clips. Check your manual for the procedure and specifications
Accidents don't just happen. They must be carelessly planned.

I think the 5050 series fuser is an improvement on the old series.
I think they re-designed the gear to minimize breakage
Therefore I use 5050 style parts in the old series
Both roller and gear need to go together as a set.

Dear hachetman, it seems to me that you are NOT paying attention, I acknowledge the fact that you are using the Press Roll Mod - good move! Now...... before you dismantled the Unit did you fix the Heatshield mech with the Pins on each end of the Upper Fixing Assy? Did you check if the Heatshield was twisted? When the Unit was reassembled were you able to turn the Heatshield gears/mech freely back and forth with your finger? Did you replace the Sensor FK2-0149 and ensure the Bracket was in the correct position?
If you answered NO to any of the above - the Fixing Rollers will keep on cracking/splitting, the 52T Gear will keep on breaking and the you will find the Clips floating around the Unit.

Nowhere have I seen where you replaced the upper roller.
They get soft on the edge with use and the clips fall off easily.
                        Are you using aftermarket UFR?
Are your upper bearings good/new ?
