From the Machine system settings look for the SMB enabled it.

change the ip to static ip then in your pc use this ip port settings, are you using a server or direct from the pc?

If direct from the pc use this ip to your pc (192.168.0.1 / 255.255.255.0) machine (192.168.0.100/255.255.255.0) enabled SMB. then on your pc on the printer settings change the port, to add port, TCP/IP port -->(http://192.168.0.100)

If you are using a server assign a static ip to your machine that correspond to the home network then same procedure in the printer settings.

My guess is the antivirus program is stopping you. turn it off for a test. and turn your firewall off, could be that too, you can go in later and adjust to accept printer driver.
ok back to basics. Is the copier flashed to the "N" version ? Maybe you need to flash it again. Then set up your ip in the copier with DHCP off. subnet address then use a crossover cable to your pc. forget the hub and do not go through anything else for now. set up the address in your pc and copier as you should know how by now. usually defalut settings are good enough in the copier, only need to put in ip and subnet to print. If you still cant print after all this, then we can try other things. If you can ping at this point, you should be able to type the copiers address in the address bar of say windows internet explorer and the copier rui screen should appear. That is a good sign, now you should be able to print. Oh by the way turn off your antivirus program just for a test print. You will find sometimes the antivirus program will stop it from printing. You can then go into the antivirus program and add the printer as a safe item. Once its printing resume with using the hub and a regular patch cable. also you can make a test just using dos, just to prove the printer is working
go to the dos prompt and type in "edit" an editor screen will come up, then type the word "hello" or whatever you want then go to file, then save as, test.txt make sure you are in the root of c: when you begin doing this trick.
then exit and go to the dos prompt again and type this: and make sure to use capital and lower case as shown. This will print to your copier the words you have typed without a print driver.

              lpr -S 10.4.2.6 -P direct -d c:\test.txt
substitute your copiers ip with my example then press enter.

With a iR3300 if he can ping it and scan from it is a "N" model, sounds like the pcl is not loaded, so you are partially correct he needs to load the correct system software

I set up ip address corrosponding to the home network range.

I disabled obtain ip address automatically on tcp/ip settings on pc.
set the range of ip address on the copier on the ip range settings.
                    10.00.0.1 - 10.0.255.255 range.
used 10.0.0.20 on the home network and setup 10.0.0.21 on the copier and setup as normal as on the pc with tcp/ip port with same ip address as copier 10.0.0.21.
                    all working fine.
Used pcl5e drivers as i read pcl6 driver are not stable.
I was using the ip address generated by the copier and setting that up with tcp/ip and was not working.

seems to be long way round , but working i dont know if this is the correct method.
But thanks to all for you time and effort .

ir3300(defaults to manual feed setting mode

every time the copier is switched on the display shown manula feed tray settings, paper size and type of paper.

When you set up on standards setting auto mode and switch copier on and off , the display revert back to manual feed tray settings option.

I have tried many times to set up standards setting and iniatialised the settings but no joy, in the user setting mode.

I would appreciate if some one could help please.

                            Hi bro

If you can give a ip adress, the boot is "N",and it´s right to print

and you say you also make a ping, and it answer, but, do have try to the rui viwer, it´s simple in your pc in the browser writte http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
with your ip and if the rui is install you will be able to manage the copier, or you will see a mesage like riu version xx.xx absent, try it.

If you are not able to see this maybe yuonhave problem with wire

are you sure you have the right driver? Did you set it up as local or network when you loaded the driver? not that it makes too much of a difference but the things you check and type in do. I dont think you tried the steps I suggested earlier. If you go to you dos screen and do as I suggested you will know if you can print or not. As I suggested is a way to print without a driver. That way we can narrow it down, otherwise without seeing what you are doing or have done its very difficult, and frustrating to say the least. Basically its a simple matter to see if your printer is working or not, if not, playing with drivers doesn't amount to a hill of beans. Obviously if you can ping it the cable is good to and back.
All you need on the copier is default settings and TCP/IP setup to the ip address with DHCP button in setup Off. and of course the subnet address. Thats all you need to make it work. Heres one for you, using Internet Explorer pull up the rui on the copier from your computer screen and find something on the rui screen that says print and see if it prints it off. I had a printing problem one time because the system software was corrupt and needed to be reloaded. Everything looked good, just wouldn't work. When you flash the copier, be sure to check overwrite at the bottom left of the service support tool screen or it will not overwrite the files if it sees they are the same version. It is possible your driver is not what you think it is, ie. another copier or improperly setup. When you go to display in the service mode what does the version say for the bootrom? that would be of great help.
