    NP6521 Dark copies

I know this thing is ancient and I don't know much about the old analog series machine. This machine has about 280K copies. Fuser looks fine, sponge corona looks fine.
The drum looks decent. I did notice the developing/toner unit does not look like its coating the roller properly. (Again not sure this is normal on this unit) Took a few pictures of what the copies look like and the developer/toner unit. Anything else I should check?

    try this>>

remove dev metal roller> wipe off> then use metal cleaner (BRASSO) and a green no scratch pad> clean up good> wipe down w/dry rag> then clean off with alcohol damp rag> use dry cloth to clean off

    good luck/ How about getting a used / useful B & W Canon printer

It looks to me like you may have a mixture of OEM and generic toner in the developing unit. They do not mix well.

Clean the developing unit like teckat suggests, vaccum it out completely, then install OEM toner. That should resolve your issue. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
