    irac7280 k1 finisher error e5f2-8002

Installed a k1 booklet maker last week that gave various jams and e5f2 8002 error.so swapoed it out for another new one.this does the same thing.v19 firmware added . Basically it errors making a4r booklets.ok on a3 .
Any ideas why 2 new ones would give the same error?

i would look into the printer set up print drivers
What Application are u using during Booklet Printing

have u tested from the printer itself (glass) & from the network driver
does this happen on both copying and printing

u stater it only happens on A4R only

        upstream connection ???

Yes print or copy from the glass is the same error.when the shutter assy in the booklet maker moves to accommodate a4r paper it errors mid way through copying just before the paper is folded

Different model but this may be useful

                imageRUNNER 105 / 8500 / 7200
                Saddle Finisher K3 / K3N
Title : Error Code E5F2 is Displayed on the Control Panel.

                Problem :
Error Code E5F2 is displayed on the Control Panel. The Error Code pertains to a problem within the Saddle Stitcher Unit. The Service Manual for the Saddle Finisher K3 describes the problem to be with either the Guide Motor [M43] or Guide Home Position Sensor [PI54].

                Solution :
If the Guide Motor [M43] and Guide home position sensor [PI54] test properly, inspect the Sixteen Tooth Gear on the front side of the Saddle Finisher. The Gear may have moved forward on the shaft and is not engaging with the Front Rack Gear. This will restrict the movement of the Guide Plate generating an Error Code "E5F2".
Below is a picture pointing out the location of the Sixteen Tooth Gear. Make sure the plastic clip of the gear is set into the groove in the shaft.
