To set forwarding conditions using the RUI:

    1. Enter the IP address of the copier in your web browser. The RUI page should appear.
    2. Select Add. Func.
    3. Select Forwarding Settings
    4. Select Store/Print Received Doc and set it to On or Off.

Hi teckat, thank you for your reply. I can forward my incoming fax to another fax number but I just cannot forward the fax to my email address.

        Hi,

Are you able to register a new email address in machine address book?

Next, from the machine's LCD, are you able to send a test file to the email address ?

To be able to select a forwarding destination, it is necessary to register destinations
          in the Address Book beforehand

Press (Additional Functions) - [Address Book Settings] -
[Register Address] - [Register New Address]

The first character that you enter for the name is used for sorting the address list
when you press keys, such as [ABC], [DEF], and [GHI], on the Address Book
          screen.

Hi KL568, I have registered my email address in address book and in one touch page but it seems not be able to send any file to the designated email.

I suspected its the problem about network setting but I can't figure out how to justify whether its the network setting issue or not. Since I don't have the network setting manual and the CD, therefore I don't know what can I do now......

                --------------------------------------------

                Did u register forwarding conditions
(Additional Functions) - [System Settings]- [Forwarding Settings]

To be able to forward received documents, you must first set Validate/Invalidate to 'On' in Forwarding Settings in System Settings (from the Additional Functions screen).

The machine can be set to automatically forward received fax/I-fax documents that match the specified forwarding conditions to
any destination using the desired send settings. You can forward fax/I-fax
documents to other machines (relay function) or store received documents that are confidential in Confidential Fax In-boxes.

Automatic forwarding can be set to activate at a specified time. Since received documents that do not match the forwarding conditions can also be
forwarded to any desired destination, this function can be used to sort and deliver received fax/I-fax documents to the appropriate destinations.

u can print the forwarding conditions list as shown here to check your settings--
                Forwarding Condition check list.pdf

have u tested other e-mail addresses to attach a fax then send /

or is it just yours ?

In order to use the E-Mail or I-Fax features that are available with the imageRUNNER 'i' Series , you must use the TCP/IP, POP3, and SMTP protocols.

POP is short for Post Office Protocol and SMTP is short for Simple Mail Transfer Protocol. Both protocols are commonly used in E-mail applications. POP is used to retrieve e-mail from a mail server, for many e-mail applications, and sometimes is called an e-mail client. SMTP is used for sending e-mail messages between servers.
Most e-mail systems that send mail over the Internet use SMTP to send messages from one server to another; the messages can then be retrieved with an e-mail client using POP. This is why you need to specify both the POP and SMTP server when you configure your e-mail application.imageRUNNER 'i' Series sends e-mail/I-fax messages to mail servers using the SMTP protocol. The following steps will allow you to send and receive E-mail: 1. Make sure you have all of your TCP/IP information set up (IP address, Subnet Mask, Gateway, DNS Server (if one), Host Name, and Domain name of your Domain) before you begin.
                2. Enter into the Network Settings and Select E-mail/I-Fax.
                3. If you are setting this up for SMTP (Simple Mail Transport Protocol) to send E-mail and I-Fax, enter the IP address or Fully Qualified Domain Name (FQDN) of your mail server in the SMTP Server section. For example: mail_server.organization.company.com. Then enter the email address that will be the default sender in the SMTP Address field.
                4. If you use POP3 and want to receive e- imageRUNNER mail and I-Faxes, fill in the IP address or FQDN of your POP3 server and the account added for the imageRUNNER-iR. The password is optional and needs to be entered if set on the e-mail account of the imageRUNNER-iR. Set the POP interval (how often the machine will log in and check for mail).
                5. Reboot the device.
                * Note - AUTHENTICATION ISSUES -
-If the SMTP mail server requires authentication for sending email, enter Encryption/Authentication login information (SMTP authentication via a username and password).
                - For the models that do not support SMTP authentication, the administrator will need to set up a SMTP Relay.

That is how most people use this function.
They select which faxes to print from their computer.
