Canon IR5070 5065 5050 5055 suddenly went silent

    [Dead] Canon IR5070 5065 5050 5055 suddenly went silent

    Hello all,

    Earlier today I was cleaning the adf roller and when I shut the cover the screen blacked out and suddenly the machine went silent.
    Even when I restaredt the machine I didn't hear any signs of the machine warming up as usual.
    Only thing lit on the control panel is the green led for power and no response from any of the buttons and as well as the touch screen.
    I have tried different positions on the machines circuit breaker
    tried unpluging all the cables (including the finisher) attached to the machine,
    Even pulling out the heater unit when turning on the machine,
    used surge protector and direct plug(w/o surge) into the the outlet.
    I had no success in getting the machine started.

    I don't exactly remember which model the copier is IR5070 5065 5050 5055

    any ideas?

      At power on only the green LED illuminates on the control panel and screen is black the copier does not rotate.

      check and remove memory> clean ends . RE SEAT/
      Remove and re-seat BOT ROM



      make sure the Soft switch on control panel is not de-pressed>stuck in ???

      check for 3.3V on connector J3001 on Main Controller PCB-
      If No voltage is found at connector J1021 for the remote signals from the Main Controller PCB to Relay PCB. This will indicate the imageRUNNER 5075/5065/5050 was stuck in sleep mode.
      **Knowledge is time consuming, exhausting and costly for a trained Tech.**

          thanks for the reply. My co-worker is bringing the machine in for inspection. Will take a look then
