this HDD u put in > where did it come from ?

New or Used HDD's need to first be formatted inside printer using the Cannon SST
u then need to load the 5180 Firmware from the SST program

e355 is a Error of the Serial PCB error/ may be because there is no operation firmware on HDD

Mismatch of serial numbers of three items:
ECO ID PCB, Main Controller PCB (SRAM) and Counter Memory PCB.
    1. Put back all original PCBs into the equipment!
    2. Do not utilize a used Counter Memory PCB or ECO ID PCB from any other equipment.

    WAS SOMEONE SWAPPING PCB's ?
The Counter Memory PCB, ECO ID PCB and SRAM PCB retain information pertinent to the specific engine they are installed in. Ensure that you never swap any of these circuit boards with another engine.

if this will not work u have a BIG HEADACHE / to find out who was swapping pcb's

E355 is displayed, enter Service Mode Level 3 and perform
        an E355 Clear as follows:
Additional Functions button then #2 & #8 keys simultaneously>then Additional Functions button
        Additional Functions button again> then #1 & # 9 keys simultaneously> then #3 key
        COPIER>FUNCTION>CLEAR>E355-CLR
Turn OFF and then ON the equipment

        DO NOT
ADJUST ANYTHING ELSE IN THE SERVICE MODE LEVEL! Doing so will have an adverse affect
        on the engine

        SERVICE MODE LEVEL 3
SHOULD ONLY BE UTILIZED FOR AN E354 or E355 CLEAR!
TAMPERING WITH OTHER MODES IN THIS LEVEL MAY NEGATIVELY IMPACT ENGINE PERFORMANCE
