I have a canon 5051 that offsets the first page when you hole punch. The rest come out ok, any ideas? Thanks

Do you mean that it offsets the punch in the paper-travel direction or front to back? I figure that you've already cleaned the heck out of the paper detect device which is an ir receiver transmitter with maybe a reflector on the lower side right? But I've also seen these things misaligned and some times a slight bend in one direction or the other can solve sporadic problems like these.
